About Saoirse

I currently attend Manhattan College pursuing my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling.

Prior to pursuing my master I received my bachelors in Therapeutic Recreation. I have also worked as a preschool teacher. As well as interning at P.S 76, an elementary school in the Bronx where I worked closely with a school counselor providing guidance and counseling to students. Both of these experiences have provided me with the ability to provide a safe and welcoming environment for my clients.

Theory and Philosophy

My mission as a therapist is to assist individuals in finding the tools and practices to help improve their life.

I hope to work with you to provide guidance and support to help you reach your goals. Using different therapeutic approaches I believe that each individual can see the benefits from therapy.

Modalities

I can use a variety of modalities to help clients reach their goals and objectives as seen fit. Such interventions can include cognitive-behavioral therapy, unconditional positive regard, and play therapy.

Each individual client will have an approach tailored to their needs. Incorporating different activities as well as talk therapy, we will work together to work through different challenges you may face.
